Large Breed Dog Recipe

After trying several high end expensive foods for our yellow lab this one is the best!

Great for my big dog, yes my lil one does sneak a bite every once in a while.

My dogs love this food! They get rather specific for each breed, and I don't quite believe that is necessary, however, the all dog breed food is really nice and made with great ingredients! The bag design is wonderful too! No issues with skin allergies or GI upset for my pups!

This food seems to be of a high quality and my dogs enjoyed trying it. They didn't have any stomach issues with this food. My picky eater ate this food instead of turning up her nose. I like that this food comes in a 30 pound bag because it lasts me a month. The bag has a zip closure to keep it fresh. Overall, I think this is a good dog food and recommend it.

This dog food is geared towards large breeds. My dog gobbled this down and had no problems chewing it. The size of the dog food is good and the ingredients are well made. It also did not cause any digestive issues for my dogs.

For the price, I was hoping for more to celebrate than the zipper closure, although I love that feature! Our dogs like any new food on Day One, then the novelty wears off. We sometimes end up drizzling meat juice or shredded chicken over their dish to get them to eat on schedule. Chicken meal is ingredient #1 here, followed by oatmeal and brown rice. The larger bite-size is a plus for our chomp-happy collies.

All three of my friend�s dogs love this food. I got this for my friend's dogs to supplement with their other food, and all three enthusiastically ate it. The food itself is large and round. This is made in the U.S.A. in Ohio. The ingredients are good, and I love that the bag has a zippered closure to ensure the kibble stays fresh.

Our dog is mostly Finnish Spitz and has plenty of hair to maintain. He likes this food, and it has small kibbles that he mostly swallows whole and that seem easy for him to digest. The protein sources include chicken, fish and eggs. This dry dog food also has a combination of nutrients including glucosamine, chelated minerals, soluble and insoluble fibers, prebiotics and probiotics. I recommend it.

Both of my dogs love this food my blue tick coonhound used to be a grazer when it came to eating and sometimes wouldn�t even finish his meal and now he eats it all up since switching to this and my pitbull has always struggled with skin issues and so far has had no problems

Bought this for our Anatolian Pyrenees. I guess he counts as a large breed � he is pretty big. He is a working dog and lives with our Nubian goats. He is a very good livestock guardian dog and earns his keep. We got a 4 lb bag and 4 lbs goes quick. He liked the taste and it was well tolerated. He ate it right down. So... dog approved and I guess that is the most important thing. Nice to see a brand differentiate between a small dog's needs and a big dog's needs.

My two dogs do well on Dr. Gary�s Best Breed food. It's solid, good food. I wouldn't put it at the premium level, but it's a great food that my dogs do well on.

I struggled for months trying to find the right food for my GSD and he didn�t like anything! There were even times he would straight up just throw it right back up as soon as it went down. After reading the reviews for Dr. Gary�s I decided to give it a try and it�s been the only kibble that my dog will eat! It�s honestly amazing I don�t know what it is about Dr. Gary�s but my GSD is obsessed with it. I highly recommend for anyone who struggles with picky eaters!!

Good affordable food

We have been feeding Louie (our mixed breed dog) this food since he was 12 weeks old. He is healthy and loves his food. We like that there are healthy ingredients in the food, we use the Large breed formula.

We have two Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs that we were feeding Purina Pro Plan Large Breed chicken formula. They had a lot of digestive issues such as puking and runny stools. We read the reviews on Dr G's and gave it a try. On our third bag now and so far so good. The dogs really like it and have not had any of the aforementioned digestive issues! They seem to have a bit more energy and their coats look great. So far two thumbs...or paws up!

This is very good dog food which doesn't use any of the ingredients which can cause issues with the dogs skin and digestion. Both my dogs really like it. The greyhound had some issues for 2 days after we switched, but that isn't unusual. We mixed the new food with the old and after 2 days his stools firmed back up and he was eating as enthusiastically as our Lab. I would have given a 5 star rating if the kibble came in bigger chunks which encourages our dogs to chew more thoroughly, rather than gulping the food down.

Our German Shepherd loves this food and we love the ingredients. His coat is so soft & shiny and transitioning him from puppy food to adult dog has been a breeze. Highly recommend!

All of the varieties of Dr. Gary's have top-notch ingredients, well-researched recipes, and small-batch runs on equipment that only makes Dr. Gary's food. Most varieties have about 25% more calories per cup than many other brands. Adjust your feeding amount so your pooch doesn't pudge up. I did a lot of reading before switching to Dr. Gary's 3 years ago. Dr. Gary's is the way to go. My Shepherd wouldn't eat anything else when we moved away from where we used to buy it.

Our Great Dane, Babycakes loves this food. For the price it seems to have all the nutrition she needs.

My Great Danes had become tired of their NutriSource chicken and rice. I tried many other brands for a couple months, all healthy good brands and they were not eating any of them very well. I tried this Dr. Gary�s and they love it. So it�s a win for the Danes and our miniature Dachshund.

We love this brand and they have so many options so you can find the perfect fit for your dog. I have 2 picky eaters and they both love this food.

Our 40-pound, 1.5-year-old goldendoodle has been eating this food since she was 8 weeks old, and we've been extremely happy with it. We love that it's made here in Ohio, developed by a veterinarian, and more natural than a lot of big-brand dog foods.

Our Great Dane, Elsa, loves this brand and doesn't walk away without eating anymore.

I switch out my boy�s kibble every 3 months in order to ensure he doesn�t get bored. I use it as a base and add his meat, vegetables, and fruit, plus raw with bone separately. This food has him extremely satisfied, interested, and the ingredients and ratio are great for giant breed dogs (Perro de Presa Canario) at a lower price. I�ve done all the expensive brands and this excels over many.

Nice to find a good kibble that doesn't have a lot of exotic ingredients. All my dogs enjoy this variety. Kibble is clean and not crumbly in bottom of bag. Suitable for all size dogs.

I have been feeding my two Pit Bulls this food ever since day one and their coats are remarkable and they are not overweight. They can�t wait for mealtime! I had tried many brands before I finally found Best Breed. I�m so thankful I found this food. Everyone needs to give it a try.

It has plenty of protein and probiotics, and the dog loves it. Not quite as expensive as another well-known brand that's about $50 more per bag, but mostly the same ingredients!

This is a food that my German Shepherd has been enjoying. The pieces are larger and she happily eats it each day. The ingredients appear to be better and it is made in the U.S., which is a plus. The small bag doesn't last long at all, especially for a large breed dog. I love giving her the best food, but I wouldn't say this is budget friendly.

This food was recommended to us and we tried it. Our dogs absolutely love it! The minute we put it in their bowls, they ate everything! My only complaint is that the kibble is very round and tiny and, when they eat, the little pieces roll all over the floor and get stepped on. I wish they would make the kibble a little bigger (and maybe even flat).

This is a nice sized kibble; they are not too large. I like that it has joint and muscle support with glucosamine and other nutritional content. There is also the added bonus that the bag reseals easily.
